Self Assignment

Learn about the qualities of effective writing implemented in our work; first, start by learning to identify our audience, which for me was anyone interested in learning about the cultures and tarpon of Ecuador. After identifying using a rhetorical device, persuasive language, and credible primary resources in essays 1,2, and 3 to achieve this. This includes summarizing, analyzing, synthesizing, and arguing my point. Moreover, we read different essay examples or articles and learned how to write unbiased and third-person language to prove credibility and factuality, as done in Essay 2. As well as we did research by learning how to use the library database, primary, one search, and popular media sources by finding non-bias evidence to support our claims and keeping it with evidence using the correct format. Furthermore, having access to strategies such as peer feedback, reflections, and the ideas present in the reading material we have read helped us achieve this course learning outcome.

Throughout this course, I’ve been reflecting on my own cultural identity. It’s been hard to wrap my head around it because there are so many different parts. My cultural identity is more complicated than it first appears because it’s based on various things like my race, gender, nationality, and sexuality. I identify as a woman full of tradition and cultural interests and a feminist, to name a few. While these labels all have different stereotypes attached to them, they’re also influenced by the culture I was raised in. So, in looking at my cultural identity, I’m examining my labels and how they relate to me, as well as the cultural influences that have operated in my life. I want to take you on a journey inside my path to cultural identity. The experiences and feelings that I’ve had have helped to shape who I am today.

My cultural identity is shaped by things like my upbringing, the values and beliefs of society, and the way that our culture operates. However, I also have a lot of personal experiences and feelings that have had an impact on my cultural identity. Some people might see my biases as bad, but they’re important. There are different cultures today, and it can be hard to find your own place in them. This is especially true when you look at culture from an individual perspective instead of looking at it within your family or community.I’ve always been very family oriented, so that has significantly impacted who I am and how my family’s dynamics work. My family has had a huge impact on the development of my culture, and I hope that I have had the same impact on theirs. One of my strengths was focusing on the investigation and learning about a topic I found interesting. When I was writing all the essay parts , I could stay focused and complete the task inspired by the passion and interest. Even tough when I was younger, I often struggled to stay interested in things. Its really important step for me to write about my personal story and finding it an exciting experience to be able to share this with others.
